TERMINATED PCI BUS DESIGN

PURPOSE: The terminated PCI(Programmable Communications Interfaces) bus is provided to shorten PCB(Printed Circuit Board) trace delay, to reduce the noise of a chip and a board, and to transfer the information in high speed over 66MHz by pulling up the end of the PCI bus through a Resistor. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises the PCI bus and an R(Resistor)_termination. Both ends of the PCI bus, which connects a PCI I/O(Input and Output) board with several PCI I/O slots in parallel, is connected to a V(Voltage)_termination through the R_termination. The V_termination pulls up the end of the PCI bus. Therefore, the R_termination removes the PCB trace delay.
