PURPOSE: A control method for the warming-up of a machining center is provided to automatically supply power before a working by calling a warming-up program as needed for reducing an initial process waiting time. CONSTITUTION: To control the warming-up of a machining center, a timer is set to automatically drive a controller power unit and a control unit in an automatic mode and power is supplied to the control unit. Then, the machining center conducts a warming-up before a working. To supply power to the control unit, power is intercepted to a numerical control unit through a key input unit and a system decides if a power input mode switch is turned on. Then, the system checks a reserved time for a pulse output in a weekly timer and the weekly timer outputs the pulse when the reserved time starts for transmitting power to the power control terminal of the power unit. After that, the shell portions of the controller are in the warming-up state.
