PURPOSE: An electrolytic sterilization system of drinking water is provided, which can minimize deposition of metal, solve various problems caused by oxidation of anode and can increase sterilizing efficiency by controlling generation of oxygen and chlorine from the surface of electrode and solving problems of excess pressure of oxygen at the electrode. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises the followings: (i) a water tank(9') that has water inlet and outlet at the both side bottom and a cap at the top, the water tank itself being a cathode; (ii) an anode(1) that is made of stainless steel and is vertically inserted at the center from top for sterilizing bacteria in water, the anode being sealed by a seal(5) and fixed to the cover by an electrode fixing screw(4); and (iii) a voltage applying terminal made of platinum for applying voltage to anode and cathode.
