PURPOSE: A method for driving plasma display panel is provided to improve the image quality of a PDP(Plasma Display Panel), to extend the life of the PDP and to reduce the consumption of power. CONSTITUTION: A first voltage pulse(300) is supplied to all address electrodes of a PDP(Plasma Display Panel) at the same time. A second voltage pulse(310) having larger pulse width than the first voltage pulse(300) is supplied to all sustain electrodes of the PDP. A scan pulse(320) is supplied in turn to a sustain electrode to eliminate a wall electrode among the sustain electrodes of PDP. A data pulse(330) is supplied to all cells except the cells to make the PDP phosphorated whenever the scan pulse(320) is supplied to the sustain electrode. A third voltage pulse(340) is supplied to all address electrodes of the PDP at the same time. A fourth voltage pulse(350) having larger pulse width than the third voltage pulse is supplied to all sustain electrodes of the PDP. |
