INSTALLATION FOR THE OPTICAL INSPECTION OF BOBBINS

Installation for the optical inspection of bobbins comprising bobbin transporting means susceptible of making discrete stops for the introduction of bobbins (1) in the inspection cabin (2) which is provided with a plurality of optical sensors (3, 4, 5) in order to scan the external surface of said bobbins (1); to this effect the bobbin (1) or some of the optical sensors (3, 4, 5) together with associated lighting sources is displaced, or a plurality of fixed and selectively activatable lighting sources arranged within said inspection cabin (2), said bobbins (1) being placed on removable, replaceable supports which can be adapted to the characteristics of said bobbins; the supports are mounted on platforms (6) which are associated to said transportation means. Each platform (6) carrying a bobbin (1) to be inspected has one or more large incuts (7) so that the bobbin (1) remains within the vision field of an optical sensor (3) situated under the plane of said platform (6).
