<p>A driving assisting device, comprising surroundings imaging means for imaging the surroundings of the car equipped with the driving assisting device with a camera and generating a surroundings image, synthetic image generating means for generating a synthetic image by superimposing an assumed motion pattern consisting of image data representing the assumed motion of the car when the car undergoes a series of driving operations on the surroundings image, and displaying means for displaying the synthetic image, wherein the surroundings imaging means has one or more cameras and a camera parameter table containing camera parameters which are the characteristics of the cameras, and thereby the surroundings image is generated from the outputs of the cameras according to the camera parameters.</p> |
