Cosmetic and dermatological photoprotective compositions in the form of aqueous dispersions comprising a dispersed lipid phase in an aqueous dispersion medium contain glyceride waxes and hydrocolloids and no more than 0.5 wt.% emulsifiers (preferably no emulsifiers).
