<p>A process for the preparation of (5RS)-5-benzyl-3-[(1SR)-3-morpholino-1-phenylpropyl]-1,3-oxazolidin-2-one or pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof useful as remedies for pollakisuria or urinary incontinence, which comprises dissolving a mixture of (2RS)-1-[(1SR)-3-morpholino-1-phenylpropyl]amino-3-phenyl-2-propanol (MAPP-A) with (2RS)-1-[(1RS)-3-morpholino-1-phenylpropyl]amino-3-phenyl-2-propanol (MAPP-B) and an acid in a solvent, recovering a salt of MAPP-A with the acid by utilizing the difference in solubility between this salt and a salt of MAPP-B with the acid, treating the recovered salt with a base to obtain free MAPP-A, and reacting the free MAPP-A with a compound represented by general formula (I) (wherein R is chloro, alkoxy, aryloxy or amino) or a chloroformic ester through cyclization.</p> |
