A limited area of a work room or work surface is housed by a mobile air-conditioned work chamber (1) of light structure with heat/cold-insulated wall and ceiling surfaces (2,3). The work chamber has a frame structure which is movable or liftable and has at least partial heat/cold insulated wall and ceiling components. The ceiling area of the work chamber is so formed that by means of suitable equipment it can be completely or partly opened.
