The method involves detecting the flow of a fluid, which is introduced into the interior of the bottle (1) or vessel, as it emanates from the open mouth of the bottle or vessel. The fluid flow is collected and fed to a sensor and a signal is generated in the event of no back flow, too low a flow rate or too short a flow duration. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for monitoring the treatment of the internal vol. of bottles
