A gas probe (14) for measuring gas tensions in liquid includes a tubing (20) having one end for connection to a mass spectrometer device (12), the other end provided with a tip (14) having at least one bore (24) formed therein. The pore (24) is filled with a membrane material (26) which eliminates water from entering, but admits low molecular weight gases.
