<p>In-line manual razor blade shaving devices (1000, 1200) feature an elongated frame (1002, 1202) having an elongated front cutter support portion (1004, 1204) arranged in-line with an elongated handle portion (1006, 1206). The cutter support portion has first and second opposed sides upon which elongated razor blade structures, such as dual razor blade cartridges (1010, 1012, 1210, 1212), are mounted. The elongated razor blade structures each feature at least one razor blade strip (1022, 1324) spaced from and arranged generally parallel to elongated front (1008, 1344) and rear (1014, 1016, 1316, 1318) guard portions. The guards define a working plane (1344, 1346) into which the razor blade edges (1066, 1336) of the razor blade structure project. The new in-line safety straight razors of the present invention may be utilized in a manner very much like the old unguarded in-line straight razor devices long used by barbers, except that front and rear guard portions help shield the exposed razor-sharp edges so as to minimize the occurrence of minor cuts, nicks and scrapes.</p> |
