<p>The invention relates to a method and arrangement in connection with a winder. In the method, the length of wound thread of all spindles of the winder is measured, and winding of all the other spindles of the winder is adjusted according to the length of the wound thread of one spindle, i.e. reference spindle, such that the length of the wound thread of all spindles is substantially the same during the entire winding. The arrangement comprises a reference spindle comprising means (2a) for adjusting the tension of the thread and means (3a) for measuring the length of the thread, and other spindles, each of which comprises means (2b, 2c, 2d) for adjusting the tension of the thread and means (3b, 3c, 3d) for measuring the length of the thread, and means (9) for comparing the length of the wound thread of the reference spindle and the lengths of the wound thread of the other spindles.</p> |
