<p>To obtain a portable telephone set with which it is easy to elongate and store away an antenna. A portable telephone set comprises a main body, an antenna (3a) appended to the main body so as to be extendible or collapsible with respect to the main body, a control panel (5a) mounted on an external surface of the main body, control means (20) for extending the antenna from the main body when the control panel is operated to set up a call, and storing the antenna into the main body when the control panel is operated to terminate a call; and driving means (7) for extending or collapsing the antenna from or into the main body under the control of the control means.</p> |
