<p>A high purity and stable crystal of P1, P4-di(uridine5'-) tetraphosphate (U¿2?P4) or a salt thereof, and a method for preparing the crystal which comprises purifying a crude U2P4 by using the anionic exchange chromatography and the active carbon chromatography and crystallizing the crystal using a hydrophilic organic solvent. A method for producing U2P4 or a salt thereof in high yield comprising providing UMP as a starting material and using DPC and PPi, characterized by practicing at least one treatment selected from among (a) in the step of reacting UMP-DPP with PPi-organic alkali salt, adding UMP-DPP in a plurality of installments, (b) in the step of reacting UMP-DPP with PPi-organic alkali salt, carrying out a reaction in the presence of a base and (c) after U2P4-synthesizing reaction, subjecting the reaction product to an alkali treatment.</p> |
