CATHODE BLANK FOR COPPER PLATING

The cathode blank (10) for copper plating has a solid copper hanger bar (12) that has a flat undersurface with end portions adapted to rest upon supports and electrical contacts. A stainless stell sheet (14) has an upper edge that is attached to the copper hanger bar (12) with oversized pins (16). The stainless steel sheet (14) may also be welded to the copper hanger bar (12). The stainless steel sheet (14) extends perpendicularly from the undersurface. Plastic strips (50) are attached to the vertical edges of the stainless steel sheet (14) with plastic pins (54) that are plastic welded thereto.
