PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATIONS FOR REGULATING THE RELEASE OF INSULIN BY INFLUENCING THE beta -CELL OF THE PANCREATIC ISLETS OF LANGERHANS
摘要
The invention relates to the use of melatonin and/or its chemically modified derivatives for producing pharmaceutical preparations for regulating the release of insulin by influencing the beta -cell of the pancreatic islets of Langerhans. When used according to the invention, melatonin and/or its chemically modified derivatives have the effect of reducing insulin via membrane-bound G-protein-coupled receptors, gain timer significance through the melatonin receptor since the release of insulin by the pancreatic islets of Langerhans is subject to circadian and ultradian rhythms and significantly statistically reduce the stimulated release of insulin by the pancreatic islets of Langerhans through the melatonin receptor in pharmacological (5 mu M) and physiological (0.2 nM) doses.
