The method involves a first process step in which the sliding surface (2a) is inserted into provided openings and a second step in which the base body (1) and sliding surface are pressed together by rollers. Simultaneously with or after the second step other rollers press the base body material laterally to force it behind reverse cuts in bridges (5) forming backward protrusions. An Independent claim is also included for a current rail for supplying current loads.
