Fiber-reinforced component manufacture involving autoclave molding of a combination of prepreg-based simple parts and resin infusion-based complex textile parts

A simpler shaped part of the component is automatically prefabricated as a semi-cured prepreg layer (2) and the more complex shaped part is prefabricated as a textile fabric (3). A resin film (4) is placed in contact with the textile and the assembly combined with the prepreg in a curing tool (5) with a flexible vacuum cover (7) before subjecting to pressure at elevated temperature in an autoclave to infuse the resin film into the textile and cure it together with the prepreg.
