The invention relates to a yarn tension device (B9) for a yarn feeding apparatus (F). In said device, an annular, thin-walled tension body (D) forms a continuos conical tension surface (C) along the periphery and the tension body is mounted in the outer area of an annular support structure (T) by means of a first spring device (S1) enabling the yarn tension device to be placed on a stationary support (A). The tension body (D) is a closed circular ring in which the conical tension surface externally borders on the inner diameter and projects as a single piece having a plurality of lamellae (L) with the shape of outwardly oriented rays resiliently deformed by an arched curvature forming the first spring device (S1). The outer ends of the spiral spring lamellae (L) are connected by a ring element (R) that can be fixed on the support structure (T) in the tension body at a radial distance from the tension surface (C). In a yarn feed device fitted with said yarn tension device, the support structure (T) is held in the support in such a way that it can be tilted from all sides in an universal joint consisting of positive fitting interlocking ring parts.
