A new polyphenylene resin (PPR) composition consists of a component (A) which comprises a polyphenylene resin and a component (B) which comprises an organopolysiloxane, having structural units including alkyl and aryl residues. A new polyphenylene resin (PPR) composition consists of a component (A) which comprises a polyphenylene resin and a component (B) which comprises an organopolysiloxane, having structural units of formula: R1R2SiO1.0 (I), R3SiO1.5 (II), and R4R5R6SiO0.5 (III), where R1-R3 = 1-3C alkyl, 6-10C aryl, R4-R6 = 1-6C alkyl, 6-12C aryl, 1-6C alkoxy, or H; and (i) the amount of component B is 0.5-100 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of component A; (ii) component A forms a continuous phase and component B a disperse phase containing dispersed particles.
