RIBOZYME-MEDIATED CONTROL OF GENE EXPRESSION

This invention provides methods for using ribozymes to modify the development of an embryo and to control the expression of an endogenous gene in a vertebrate. In particular, methods for inhibiting the expression of neuregulins, growth/differentiation factor-8, and interferon are disclosed. Ribozymes and vectors useful in these methods are also provided.
