A process and assembly prepare a plaster cast (especially) for the treatment of broken limbs. Plaster and water are mixed together in a trough through which a web feed passes. The web fabric picks up the wet plaster in a funnel-shaped trough in a continual process. Surplus plaster is removed by a wiper unit and the web is dried at once. The combined web and plaster are vacuum packed.
