A coextrusion multilayer structure comprising a layer of an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) resin composition which contains a boron compound in an amount of 100 to 5,000 ppm in terms of boric acid amount, a carboxylic acid and/or a salt thereof in an amount of 100 to 1,000 ppm in terms of carboxylic acid amount, and an alkali metal salt in an amount of 50 to 300 ppm in terms of metal amount and has an ethylene content of 25 to 45 mol% and a degree of saponification of 99 % or higher and, adjacent thereto, a layer of a polyolefin resin modified with a carboxylic acid, or comprising a layer of an EVOH resin composition containing a salt of a Group 2 metal of the Periodic Table in an amount of 10 to 50 ppm in terms of metal amount and, adjacent thereto, a layer of a polyolefin resin modified with a carboxylic acid. The multilayer structure is improved in thermal stability during high-temperature production (suitability for long run), coextrusion stability during high-speed film formation, and interlaminar adhesion.
|
