The igniter (1) comprises a heating resistance (3) covered by a pyrotechnic ignition compound connected to two electrodes (9,10) linked to a power source (2). The electrodes are connected by a filtering conductor (5) in the form of a varistor (6) and a condenser (7) or two Zener diodes in parallel with the heating resistance (3). The heating resistance is in the form of a thin flat element on a printed circuit insulating support and connected to the two electrodes by separate metal conducting layers.
