PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of detecting a pressure profile which can detect a pressure profile, for example, the presence/absence, a size or the like of a pressure. SOLUTION: A current source 120 is connected to a sensor strip including a conductive strip 126 and a resistance strip (not shown). A fluid flow-generating source 152 is set below an object passage 156. A conductive sensor film 112 is deformed by a fluid flow generated from the source and is partly brought in touch with the sensor strip. The fluid flow is obstructed when a paper sheet 150 as an object to be detected passes the object passage 156, whereby a touch state of the sensor film 112 and sensor strip changes. As a result, a measured value at an electric sensor 122 connected to the sensor strip by the paper sheet 150 changes.
