PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor paste composition for a plasma display panel, excellent in the dispersedness of a phosphor, capable of being fired at a temperature lower than the conventional and small in a decrease in luminance by using a specified methacrylic ester polymer as the binder. SOLUTION: This composition essentially consists of 100 pts.wt. (A) methacrylic ester polymer essentially consisting of 60-100 wt.% isobutyl methacrylate and 0-40 wt.% alkyl methacrylate having hydroxyl group in the positionβorω, 50-50,000 pts.wt. (B) phosphor for a PDP, and 100-2,000 pts.wt. (C) normally liquid organic compound having at least one ring structure in the molecule and having a boiling point of 170 deg.C or above.
