PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain uniform electrifying performance with little resistance irregularity, to make permanent set small, to obtain non-stickness so as to eliminate sticking tendency and staining on a photoreceptor and to obtain high durability by constituting a conductive elastic body by vulcanizing rubber composition including nitrile rubber having crosslinked polybutadiene structure in a molecule. SOLUTION: An electrifying roller 2 is constituted of a center core bar 2c, a lower conductive elastic layer 2b formed on the outer periphery of the core bar 2c, and further an upper resistance layer 2a formed on the outer periphery of the layer 2b, and both ends of the core bar 2c are submissively driven by a pressing means as the photoreceptor 1 is rotated and driven. The conductive elastic body constituting such an electrifying member is constituted by vulcanizing the nitrile rubber composition having the polybutadiene structure crosslinked in the molecule. Such nitrile rubber has the crosslinked polybutadiene structure in the molecule. The permanent set is hardly caused in the electrifying member, image irregularity is eliminated and the non-stickiness is obtained to eliminate the staining on the surface of the photoreceptor.
