摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure an action causing no shock by arranging a convex type member slidably in a housing member, arranging a concave type part, which can be engaged with the convex type member, in a rotor, and sliding the convex type member toward the opposite side of the concave type part against an energizing means by supply of oil pressure for releasing engagement between the convex type member and the concave type part. SOLUTION: When an engine is stopped, a rotor 20 is positioned in a maximum lag position, and an oil pressure supplied to the oil control valve is low, so that a plunger 23 is pressed to a holder 21 because of energizing force of a spring 24, so as to be engaged with the holder 21. Then, the engine is started and an oil pressure from an oil pump is increased, and when the oil pressure is supplied to a lag oil pressure chamber 31, a slide plate 40 is moved to a lag oil pressure chamber 32 side, and the lag oil pressure chamber 31 and a plunger oil passage 25 are connected together, so that the plunger 23 is pressed. In this way, engagement between the plunger 23 and the rotor 20 is released, and in this process, a housing 11 and the rotor 20 are pressed by an oil pressure from the lag oil pressure chamber 31, so that a shock is reduced.
