PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque limiter that can improve its yield through post- assembly fine control of torque into a predetermined range. SOLUTION: A torque limiter supports for rotation within a housing 31 both ends of a shaft whose externally mounted cylindrical magnet is inserted in a cylindrical magnetic material 30 including ferromagnetic substance placed within the housing 31 so that the external surface of the magnet faces the internal surface of the magnetic material 30 at a prescribed gap. The housing 31 is divided into a housing body 32 consisting of a bottomed cylinder portion 37, and a cap 39 consisting of a bottomed cylinder portion 44, and is sized in length to form a gap G between the housing body 32 and the cap 39 assembled up, in which gap a ring 47 into which magnetic substance powders are mixed is fitted to cover the exposed periphery of the magnetic material 30. |
