PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight impeller hard to break and to produce an impeller different in wall thickness by a simple process. SOLUTION: An impeller comprises a molded object formed from a laminated sheet material wherein a sheet comprising glass long fibers and a sheet material of a thermoplastic synthetic resin are alternately laminated and the molded object of this laminated sheet contains at least glass long fibers continuing from an impeller to a hub part. In this impeller producing method, a process wherein the sheet material comprising glass long fibers and the sheet material of a thermoplastic synthetic resin are alternately laminated to form a laminated sheet, a process for processing this into a blank 21 having a predetermined size, a process arranging a plurality of blanks to a pressing mold, a blank heating and melting process and a press process molding the heated molten blank into a predetermined impeller shape are provided. In a process arranging a plurality of blanks to the press mold, blanks different in shape may be arranged in a superposed state.
