PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording apparatus with a function of preventing air bubbles from coming into a printing head by making use of the buoyance of air bubbles in an apparatus circulating ink between an ink tank and manifold. SOLUTION: Ink is supplied to the ink introduction port 4a of a manifold 4 via ink tubes 25, 9. On the other hand, air bubbles contained in ink are raised to be captured by the action of its buoyance in the interior space part 5c of a first connection member 5 interposed between the ink tube 9 and the ink introduction port 4a. A second open and close valve 32 is opened and a pump 28 is driven to discharge air bubbles captured in the interior space part 5c to the ink tank 24 via bypass tubes 13, 27. |
