PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To track a carrier frequency of a multi-path signal receiving a Doppler-frequency shift regardless of a simple structure. SOLUTION: In an automatic frequency control(AFC) system for a receiver 20 employed for a broad band CDMA system where multi-path signals, that is, various antenna signals are synthesized before deciding a carrier frequency error, after the multi-path signals are summed the frequency error is calculated in place of calculating separately the frequency error of each transmission path. Thus, only one frequency detection circuit is enough for the purpose, and as a result, the automatic frequency control system has precision of a system that separately combines calculated frequency errors regardless of a decreased number of the calculation processes. |
