PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method having a high sensitivity and an automatic analyzer using the measuring method in a method for measuring a target substance in a sample solution utilizing a substance labeled and a substance immobilized. SOLUTION: In the analysis method, a sample solution, an immobilized antibody 35 and a labeled antibody 34 are dispensed to a reaction container 20 and are reacted to produce a binding substance 38 and a magnet 39 is approached to the reaction container 20. The substance 38 is separated from the unreacted labeled antibody 34 and a liberating agent acts thereon to liberate the labeled antibody 36 from the binding substance 38. Then, a quantity of a label 37 of the labeled antibody 36 liberated is measured.
