LOCK RING FOR PIPE COUPLING AND PIPE COUPLING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a lock ring in common for slip off prevention of connection pipes having slightly different in an outside diameter dimension and disperson within tolerance. SOLUTION: A metallic rock ring 1 is stored and held within lock ring storing space within a coupling main body 11. The lock ring 1 is provided with a connection pipe insertion hole 5 into which a resin connection pipe 14 is inserted at the center of a ring main body 4 which has a cut-off part on a part of a circumference and can be freely expanded/reduced in diameter and deformed. On an inner periphery of this connection pipe insertion hole 5 a bite tooth 6 biting into the outer periphery of the connection pipe 14 is provided. Further on the outer periphery of the ring main body 4, an elastic body 7 which is abutted on an inner peripheral surface 12b of lock ring storing space 12 and is easier to be expanded/reduced in diameter and deformed than the ring main body 4 is provided.
