PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten an overall length of a cylinder head so as to reduce a size and weight by overlapping at least a part of the thickness directional part in the rear face wall part of the cylinder head with a sensor mounting hole part in an angle sensor arranged in the rear face wall part of the cylinder head in an engine. SOLUTION: A sensor mounting hole part 36 in an angle sensor 34 orthogonally crosses the longitudinal direction of an intake air first camshaft 22 from the lateral side face side of a cylinder head 6 so as to be arranged in a side face wall part 6s in the cylinder head 6 so that the angle sensor 34 is oriented to a sensing roller 40 arranged in the rear end part 22b of the,first camshaft 22. At least a part of the thickness directional part in a rear face wall part 38 of the cylinder head 6 is overlapped with the sensor mounting hole part 36. In this way, the rear face wall part 38 can be brought close to the rear end side part 22b side of the first camshaft 22, so that an overall length of the cylinder head 6 can be shortened by a length X as against a conventional one.
