PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with replacement of order of documents after readout when a first page system is adopted for a wingless type document feed device by moving documents laminated on a document discharge part to a document feed part, and providing a mode feeding the documents in order from the uppermost document. SOLUTION: After reading out a document, the order of page of the document discharged to a document discharge part 7 is reverse to the order of page at placing on a document feed part 6. Then the pusher of a document moving part 40 is moved from a home position toward the document feed part 6. Hereby, the document on the document discharge part 7 is moved to the document feed part 6. An automatic document feed device 1 is automatically started, and similar to the time of readout, the document is sent out one by one from the uppermost document (document of the last page). The sent out document is again discharged to the document discharge part 7 under the condition in which the readout document face is faced upward, through the U-turn passage 16 of a document feed-carry part 10, on a platen 3, and further the U-turn passage 31 of a document discharge-carry part 30.
