PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a precise and easy judgement of trouble or abnormality in an evaporated fuel recovery system. SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle incorporates a fuel tank 31, and an evaporated fuel recovery system incorporating a purge passage 37 communicating the fuel tank 31 with a surge tank 25, and vacuum is introduced from the surge tank 25 into the evaporated fuel recovery system so as to do trouble shooting in the system on the basis of variation in pressure due to the introduction of the vacuum. During this trouble shooting, a throttle valve 24 is closed when the vehicle is decelerated, and an engine 1 is dynamically coupled with drive wheels so as to effectively induce intake vacuum which is introduced into the evaporated fuel recovery system. With this arrangement, the trouble or abnormality in the evaporated fuel recovery system is judged precisely and easily. |
