PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an MGDF derivative that specifically promotes the proliferation and development of human megakaryocytes, substantially never including other human proteins, and is useful for treatment or the like of patients with a morbid state of thrombocytopenia, for example, aplastic anemia, idiopathetic thrombocytopenia or the like. SOLUTION: (A) A human MGDF polypeptide (preferably MGDF-1, MGDF-2 or the like) is bonded to (B) at least one of water-soluble polymers (preferably polyethylene glycol or the like), preferably through an alkyl bonding or an acyl bonding, where its amino acid sequence comprises the amino acid sequence of from No. 22-No. 184 of the amino acid sequence of human MGDF-1, MGDF-2 and the inferred one, and does not include a mono-PEG-bearing MGDF polypeptide to which polyethylene glycol(PEG) is bonded at its N-terminus. |
