PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image without ablation, obviate the need of its treatment, and obtain a direct writing lithographic printing plate by placing on a carrier a hydrophilic image forming layer having an organic onium group, and a hydrophilic heat sensitive cross-linking vinyl polymer containing a repeat unit. SOLUTION: A hydrophilic image forming layer containing a hydrophilic heat sensitive cross-linking vinyl polymer having a repeat organic onium group (e.g. an organic ammonium, organic phosphonium, or organic sulphonium group) and containing a hydrophilic heat-sensitive cross-linking vinyl polymer. The carrier is made of a self-consisting material including a polymer film, glass, a ceramic, a metal, or thin cardboard, or laminated one by these materials, and formed in about 100-310 μm thickness. A quantity of the heat-sensitive polymer is preferably 0.1-10 g/m2 (dry base). Also, a carrier improving the adhesion of the final laminated body can be coated by an undercoating layer, wherein the undercoating layer is made up of gelatin, natural and synthetic hydrophilic colloid, a vinyl polymer, or the like. |
