PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graft copolymer having high coating physical properties such as pigment dispersibility, processibility, etc., which is suitable for coatings and a coating having a high weather resistance, water resistance, pigment dispersibility, initial gloss and coating physical properties. SOLUTION: A graft copolymer is obtained by polymerizing a fluorine- containing resin, to which groups containing reactive carbon-carbon double bonds are linked via ester bonds, with a monomer component containing a hydroxy-containing polymer having a reactive carbon-carbon double bond at either end. A coating comprises this graft copolymer.
