PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the decrease of a heat insulating effect by the movement of feathers by forming partitioned blocks packed with the feathers in a three- layered structure and varying the sizes of the partitioned blocks the respective layer parts with each of the layer parts. SOLUTION: The quilt is formed in the three-layered structure consisting of an upper layer part 11, a middle layer part 12 and a lower layer part 13. The upper layer part 11 of the three-layered structure is composed of an outer material 71 and an upper core material 72. The middle layer part 12 is composed of the upper core material 72 and a lower core material 73. The lower layer part 13 is composed of the lower core material 73 and a lining material 74. The respective layer parts are fabricated by gores 6 and are subjected to quilting. Fabrication lines 3 of quilting from the grid-like block chambers 21, 22, 23 packed with the feathers. These blocks 21, 22, 23 are so formed as to respective vary their sizes with the respective layer parts 11, 12, 13. As a result, the feathers of the large blocks are liable to move and are liable to exist unevenly at a low density on a user and at high density at the quilt ends, thereby capable of assuring the heat insulation characteristics of the ends.
