PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the developing solution capable of relieving silver stains occurring in a developing tank and/or on developing racks or rollers at the time of processing the rapidly processable silver halide photosensitive material. SOLUTION: The developing solution contains at least 2 compounds selected from dimercaptopyrimidine, dimercapto-1,3,5-triazine, and dimercapto-1,2,4-triazine, or in addition to them at least one kind of compound represented by the formula in which Z is a nonmetallic atomic group for forming a 5-membered N-containing hetero rings together with N and C and M is a hydrogen or cation.
