MANUFACTURE OF BLOCK TO BE USED FOR V BELT FOR HIGH LOAD TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate detaching work of a molded block from a mold by reducing step difference influence on a sliding part of the block, eliminating shortage of a resin and skew movement and improving belt performance. SOLUTION: A metal mold 14 for block production made of a male mold 15 and a female mold 16 and provided biased to the male mold 15 from the center in the belt longitudinal direction at both side parts in the belt cross direction of a block main body on which a parting line L is set sideways so that cavity capacity of the female mold 16 becomes larger than cavity capacity of the male mold 15 is prepared. Thereafter, a block at least both side parts in the belt cross direction of a block main body of which are covered with a resin is provided by setting the block main body on the female mold 16 sideways so that a side to be in the belt forwarding direction becomes downward and filling resin in a cavity 17 of the metal mold 14 in a mold closing state.
