PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wall construction having excellent sound performance and endurance by forming a horizontal edge member to a height of the upper edge of an opening of interior finish surface in a wall finished with an inner noise insulating material. SOLUTION: A noise insulating material 3 consisting of a noise insulating sheet is laminated on the inner side surface of one gypsum board 2 of a wall 1 comprising a pair of gypsum board 2, 2. Next, a wooden edge member 5 is attached to the whole surface of the wall 1 to the height of the upper edge of an opening 4 in the wall 1, and the surface of the wall 1 above the edge member 5 is finished with an absorbing material 6 consisting of a rock wool sound absorbing board. Also, the surface of the wall 1 below the edge member 5 is finished with a wall cloth 7, and the ceiling is finished with a ceiling finish material 8 consisting of rock wool sound absorbing board of the same kind of finishing material above the edge member 5. In this way, the sound insulating ability can be secured, and the wall 1 having the sound absorbing ability of a certain level can be constituted. Moreover, the possibility of breakage of the sound absorbing material 6 can be eliminated. |
