PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge image data by using one line memory and to simplify the constitution of the device by setting the ratio of a 1st clock frequency synchronizing with inputted image data and a 2nd clock frequency synchronizing with the fetching operation for image data to an enlargement rate. SOLUTION: A horizontal enlarging circuit 2, the line memory 3, a vertical enlarging circuit 4, a write address control circuit 7, and a read address control circuit 8 operate in synchronism with the clock 10a from an oscillator 5. The ratio of the frequency of a input clock 10b to the frequency of the clock 10a, i.e., the frequency division ratio of a frequency divider 6 is set to the inverse ratio of enlargement of the image data by the horizontal enlarging circuit 2. For example, when the horizontal enlarging circuit 2 enlarges the image data horizontally by twice, the frequency division ratio of the frequency divider 6 is set to 1/2 and the input clock 10b having the frequency half as high as that of the clock 10a is outputted to an input clock oscillation end 1b. |
