PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a germicidal composition capable of manifesting an unexpected controlling effect on plant disease of a lowland crop and a field crop such as rice blast disease in comparison with the singly used case, and further to provide a method for its use. SOLUTION: This composition contains a 1,2,3-thiadiazole derivative of the general formula R1 is H, a 1-6C alkyl or a 3-6C cycloalkyl; R2 is CO-Y-R3 [R3 is H, a (halo) 1-20C alkyl, a (halo) 2-20C alkenyl, a (substituted)carbamoyl 1-6C alkyl or a (substituted)phenyl, a (substituted)phenyl-1-6C-alkyl, a (substituted) 5- or 6-membered heterocycle having one or more O, S and N, a (substituted) 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic carbonylamino (1-6C alkyl) or the like; Y is O, S, NR4] or the like}, and one or more kinds selected from compounds which have germicidal activities against plant diseases as active ingredients.
