PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damages due to thunderbolt to an electrical appliance by installing an arrester between each wire within an outlet, used in connection of a power source circuit wire and a grounding terminal installed in the outlet. SOLUTION: Power source connecting terminals 21, 21 for leading a commercial power source S and a grounding terminal to which a ground line L3 is connected are installed at the back of this outlet with thunder protecting function. An arrester 4 is connected between power source terminals 21, 21, in parallel with an outlet hole 2. The arrester 4 and the ground line L3 are connected via the grounding terminal. Even if thunderbolt occurs on a power source circuit wire L side and thunder surge voltage is inputted to an electric appliance side via a lightning arrester, the arrester 4 operates, and thunder surge voltage can be discharged to the ground through the power source circuit wire L and the ground line L3, the thunder surge voltage will not be applied to the electrical appliance connected to the outlet hole 2, and damages due to thunder is prevented completely.
