PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a wheel easily get away from a hollow of the snowy road or the like by connecting a predetermined number of square running board bodies, mounting a chain on a surface side of the running board bodies to connect the same, projecting the chain longer than the running board bodies to form a projecting part, and forming an arbitrary number of pieces of projections on a rear surface side of the running board bodies. SOLUTION: Two square running board bodies 1 made of arbitrary materials such as wood, resin, metallic plate or the like, are connected, and a chain 2 is mounted on a surface side of the running board bodies 1. The chain 2 is mounted over the center at the surface side, of the running board bodies 1, and one end thereof is projected longer than the running board bodies 1 to form a projecting part. An arbitrary number of pieces of projections 5 are mounted on a rear surface side of the running board bodies 1 and fastened by the fasteners. When a car gets into a depth on the snowy road or the like, this step tread is fitted under a wheel 7. One of the bodies 1 is suitably fitted under the wheel as the running board is divided into a plurality of running board bodies 1, and the wheel can be easily got away.
