PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical bleaching agent compsn. which can efficiently carry out bleaching with light in a wide range of wavelength by incorporating a photosensitizer having a light-integrating functional group into the same. SOLUTION: Especially, a tree-like polymer chain Gn having a polyphenyl ether backbone represented by the formula: Gn=-C6H5-an(OCH2Gn-1)an is listed as the light-integrating functional group. In the formula, n is an integer of 2 or higher; when n is 2, then Gn-1 is -C6H5-a1(R)a1; R is H or a substituent which can be bonded to a benzene nucleus; a1 is an integer of 0-5; and an in an integer of 1-5. Pref., the photosensitizer has at least three light-integrating functional groups Gn and is selected from among porphyrin derivs., metal porphyrin derivs., phthalocyanine derivs., metal phthalocyanine derivs., etc. The amt. of the photosensitizer added to the optical bleaching agent compsn. is about 0.0025-5 wt.% in an aq. liquid. The compsn. may contain a peroxy oxygen bleaching agent such as sodium perborate or sodium percarbonate. |
